Job Description for System Administrator Role:
- Set up, customize, and oversee Windows-based servers and network devices both on-site and in the Azure cloud to guarantee seamless and effective operations.
- Offer expertise as tier 3 support, serving as the go-to escalation point for the help desk and fellow IT team members.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, addressing issues and ensuring uninterrupted connectivity by proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and security vulnerabilities.
- Work alongside the IT Manager to establish and uphold network security protocols, including firewalls and access controls. Performing vulnerability assessments as necessary.
- ERP Administration of user access management, system configuration, troubleshooting access, and ensuring access is meeting security requirements and least based access.
- Assist Customer Support and Sales teams with EDI and customer interface.
- Oversee Azure Active Directory administration of user accounts, groups, and permissions, ensuring secure access, implementing authentication policies, and configuring single sign-on for a seamless user experience. Also manage device settings, enable multifactor authentication, and monitor directory health to maintain a robust identity management system.
- Utilize Intune and Microsoft Autopilot for efficient software deployment and device provisioning, and scheduling, for a seamless transition. Ensure compliance, and seamless integration with cloud applications. Regularly update strategies for optimal software performance and user experience.
- Manage Office 365 Suite of tools specifically email services, and collaboration tools ensuring seamless communication and productivity. Responsible for configuring security settings, managing licenses, troubleshooting issues, and overseeing updates to maintain a secure and efficient digital workplace environment.
- Implement and maintain regular backups and disaster recovery procedures, safeguarding data integrity and availability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation detailing network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Manage Microsoft Teams and Teams Voice services, overseeing user provisioning, channel organization, and integration with other collaboration tools to enhance team productivity and streamline communication across the organization.
- Patch and maintain servers and workstations, using Intune and 3rd party patch management systems.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
Systems Administrator Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant Microsoft Windows system administration experience required.
- Prophet 21 or other similar Enterprise Resource Planning System.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards network maintenance and optimization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
